Chelsea, Europe’s champion
Chelsea is the new champion of Europe. After a dramatic match, Chelsea won the shootout by a score of 4-3 in front of Bayern Munich right on Germans’ stadium.

Chelsea won the Champions League for the first time in history, after defeating the host-team on penalties , Bayern Munchen, with 4-3, after 120 minutes the score was 1-1.
During the regular play for Bayern scored Thomas Muller in minute 83, that 5 minutes after Didier Drogba to equalize for Chelsea.
Arjen Robben missed a shot from 11 meters, in the minute 95, granted after a useless foul of Drogba on Ribery.
At the shootout for Bayern Munchen Lahm Gomez and Neuer scored, and Olic and Schweinsteiger missed.
Luiz, Lampard, Cole and Drogba scored for Chelsea, and Mata missed.

According to uefa.com, Didier Drogba was chosen the Match Player.
Bayern Munich had three notable absences: Alabai, Badstuber and Gustavo, all three being suspended.
Chelsea could not align the best team, missing Captain John Terry, Ramires and Raul Meireles.
Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor and David Cameron, the British Prime Minister, watched the Champions League final together at Camp David, where they attended the G8 summit.
