Check-ups on migrant traffickers

RADOR - The DIICOT prosecutors from the central structure and Judicial Police officers conducted yesterday over 20 house searches for the dismantling of an organized criminal group specialized in migrant trafficking, drug trafficking, fraudulent border crossing and facilitating illegal stay in Romania.
According to judicial sources, the group consisted of Syrian, Iraqi, Egyptian and Romanian citizens who made it easier for illegal migrant groups to cross the border with Bulgaria and Serbia.
The members of the group received up to 5 thousand euros for each migrant - our reporter Diana Surdu told us.
