Privatization of CFR Marfa arrives on Wednesday at the sealed auction stage and the two remaining investors in the race to acquire the largest rail freight operator in the country can submit their bids no later than 12:00, according to our editor, Alex Lancuzov.

According to the timetable set by the Ministry of Transport, the Privatization Commission will consider on Thursday, June the 20th, the submission files following that the same day the winner to be announced.

Last week, the American company Omnitrax, deprived of the right to participate at the sealed auction has filed a complaint requesting the suspension pending resolution of its privatization and an extension of the audit.

About 100 members of the Federation of train drivers of Romania will continue Wednesday, from 9.00 to 14.00, the action of picketing the Ministry of Transport to ask to stop the privatization of CFR Marfa and the reevaluation of this company, according to Agerpres.

People are dissatisfied with the assessment of CFR Marfa, which does not reflect the reality, says Iulică Mantescu, FMLR President.

Also, in the presentation file there is no provision on the protection of the 10,700 employees in the process of privatization and post privatization.
