Cernavoda Unit 1 - planned shutdown

Unit 1 at Cernavoda will enter the planned shutdown programme for maintenance work from Sunday, Nuclearelectrica has announced.
The company gave assurances that the work will be carried out in safe conditions for plant staff, the population and the environment.
At 8:30 Romania imports 400 megawatts to support national electricity consumption.
Production was around 4.300 megawatts, while consumption was 4.700.
Hydropower plants supplied the most electricity to the National Power System, about 1.500 megawatts, followed by the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant, which provided 1.300.
Wind and photovoltaic generation was very low this morning nationwide, around 600 megawatts.
