The Secretary of State for Transport, Anca Boagiu, stated that there was no other reason to delay the works on the Cernavodă-Megidia motorway section.
"Today, as a premiere, I can announce that yesterday the last government decision passed through the Government, with the last properties which were to be expropriated on the motorway route. So, as a matter of fact, within a month we will be able to say that all the estates will have been expropriated, there is not even the smallest problem from Bucharest to Constanţa", Anca Boagiu declared for România Actualităţi.
"But, as long as we do our duty, we make things work and show that the Government increased the National Company of Motorways and National Roads budget in order to pay the works and to provide the financings for the next period, I can not accept for a company to say: ‘I do not want to work, but I need some extra money, and you also have to extend the term and… it is your concern what you do with the motorway", the Secretary of State for Transport, Anca Boagiu, also said.
Anca Boagiu specified that the Minister of Transport would cancel the contract made with the company which in 2008 won the auction to construct 20 kilometers of motorway.
The reason raised by the minister is that the company did not deliver the technical project on time and did not fit into the work schedule, and at the same time demanded additional sums of money.
