CC postpones the debate on the referral on the amendments to the law on recognition of the heroes and martyrs of the 1989 Revolution

The Constitutional Court has postponed to 28 May the debate on the petition of President Klaus Iohannis regarding the amendment of the law on the recognition of heroes, martyrs and fighters who contributed to the victory of the 1989 Revolution.
In the petition sent by the President of the State at the end of November last year, it is pointed out that some provisions of the emergency ordinance violate a number of constitutional norms and principles, and the wording is unclear and would create confusion about the legal effects with direct implications on the rights of the beneficiaries of the law.
