Caraş-Severin PDL leader under DNA investigation
DNA prosecutors raided the houses of Caraş-Severin PDL leader , mayor of Oţelul Roşu town, Iancu Simion, and the head of the Caraş-Severin Office of the Romanian Payment and Intervention Agency in Agriculture(APIA), Romică Anculia.

DNA prosecutors, accompanied by police officers from DGA and special troops of gendarmerie raided this morning the house from Glimboca of the Caraş-Severin PDL leader, the mayor of Oţelul Roşu, Iancu Simion.
In the same time, anti-corruption investigators searched also the head’s house of the Caraş-Severin Office of the Romanian Payment and Intervention Agency(APIA), Romică Anculia.
Of the first information, DNA prosecutors investigation is related to defrauding of the subsidies from the European Community, the investigation being started in autumn, last year.
The mayor of Oţelul Roşu, Iancu Simion, has been a member of the Democrat Party(PDL) since 1993, and during 1990-2003 was the mayor of Glimboca, Caraş-Severin County, and since 2004, he has been mayor of Oţelul Roşu.
After Sorin Frunzăverde joined the National Liberal Party(PNL), the National Permanent Bureau of PDL appointed ‘Simi’ as interim president of the Caraş-Severin organization.
During 2000-2004, Romică Anculia was mayor of Teregova, and in 2005
Head of Caraş-Severin Agricultural Directorate.
In 2007 he was decorated by president Traian Băsescu with Agricultural Merit Order in rank of knight.
Since 2009 he was appointed the Caraş-Severin Office of the Romanian Payment and Intervention Agency(APIA), that he runs so far.
Of the information we have known so far is that Romică Anculia was arrested this morning in his apartment from Reşiţa, and investigators search his house from Tergova village.
