The leaders of the governing coalition reached an agreement on the capping and compensation of electricity and natural gas prices. According to some political sources, cited by RRA editor Catalin Purcaru, the version proposed by the social democrats was kept.
Thus, the current electricity ceilings of 68 bani for a monthly consumption of 100 kilowatt-hour and 80 bani for up to 255 kilowatt-hours are maintained. Both household consumers who exceed this ceiling and large companies will pay a fixed price of 1.30 lei per kilowatt-hour.
Small and medium enterprises, the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as places of worship will pay one leu per kilowatt-hour; for gas bills, the same price is kept as before.
