Caciu: The Romanian economy will overcome this complicated period

The rating agency Standard & Poor's reconfirmed Romania's sovereign rating at "BBB-" with a stable outlook.
Romania's rating is supported by the membership of the European Union and by the robust access to financing on the international capital markets.
The risks posed by the conflict in Ukraine are also mitigated by the prospect of absorbing a significant amount of European funds, as well as by the low energy dependence on natural gas and oil in Russia.
Standard & Poor's also claims that the registration of a sustainable economic growth, cumulated with the reduction of the budget deficit, could lead to the consolidation of the economy and to a possible improvement of Romania's sovereign rating.
Finance Minister Adrian Caciu said that Standard & Poor's decision is proof that public policies to finance the economy were correct.
