Control structures finance under the ministry will be merged into a single body that will deal specifically with combating tax evasion, says the finance minister.
Daniel Chitoiu also said that SMEs, small and medium enterprises to be checked every three years and large taxpayers every five years.
The ideas are not new and effectiveness of the measures to combat tax evasion depends on how they will be applied, as the vice president of the National Council of Private SMEs says, Neculai Vitelaru.
"We also did such proposals in previous years, but what we found is that everyone listens to us very carefully, gives us right, but we do not practically apply, because we have to create many hot spots for the political protégés " , said the Vice national Council of Private SMEs, Neculai Vitelaru.
SMEs, controlled by too many institutions
Small and medium enterprises are controlled by too many institutions, starting the customs officers and until the firemen.
"The Ministry of Finance, the Financial Guard, which is also a structure in the Ministry of Finance, Labor Inspection, NACP, Firefighters, who you want and who you do not want dissipating thousands to thousands of businesses, you dissipate the evasion. There are few sensitive sectors: oil, tobacco, alcohol, fruit and vegetables. The majority are imports, if you can streamline customs inspection halved publicans and committed team leaders as Germans or Englishmen.
"You install cameras, but you do not make the parade just to show that you want to dissipate the evasion. When you are in Bucharest, there are a bunch of people waiting with invoices in their hands , receipt books, etc. Nobody sees them, sir. No. I know, it's like living in another country. There is their country and our country there "says the Vice President National Council of Private SMEs, Neculai Vitelaru.
The Minister delegated for SMEs, Tourism and Business Environment, Maria Grapini, said Friday that the flat tax would be applied in the second half of this year if the measure impact study will be completed in the first quarter.
"In the second half, the flat tax could be applied if we move fast, i.e. to finish the impact assessment in the first quarter. The study started and we need to finish it in the first quarter. Otherwise, we will not be able to apply this year "said Maria Grapini in a press conference.
The minister noted that at present the Ministry counselors determine the number of restaurants, hostels, bars and other structures that may fall under the tax.
