In Bucharest, from next month, the first electric buses will run. However, not all 100 buses bought from a manufacturer in Turkey, but only 20, because the connections of the charging stations are not ready, General Mayor Nicusor Dan announced today.

The complete batch of electric buses bought with European money will be on the busiest routes in the city from next spring, especially since, from then on, more than 20 kilometers of tram line will be under repair, and public transport will be reorganized, due to the construction sites.

Nicusor Dan: What I discussed yesterday with the director of the STB: for 20 of the 100 buses, /.../ the possibility of charging will be available until the end of the year, and for the rest of up to 100, until next spring.

According to RRA reporter, Alexandru Lancuzov, also from the spring of next year, 100 trolleybuses bought from Poland will be delivered to Bucharest.
