Bucharest 9 format, meeting in Warsaw

President Klaus Iohannis is participating today in Warsaw at the Bucharest 9 format meeting, which includes NATO and EU Member States from Eastern Europe.

Meeting will provide the opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen the alliance's presence on NATO’s eastern flank, to highlight the importance the states represented in this format grant for the allied solidarity and security, as well as for the relationship with aspiring countries and cooperation with partner countries from the eastern neighborhood.

Particular attention will be paid to extending the security dialogue with the EU and to enhanced cooperation between NATO and the Union, including on military mobility.

President Klaus Iohannis will also participate at a plenary session dedicated to discussing the whole range of security matters and a session dedicated to military issues.
