Brussels - Bazaar of Romanian diplomacy

Today, in Brussels, the Diplomatic Bazaar begins, an event organized between December 8 and 10 by the embassies of Romania and the Republic of Moldova in the Kingdom of Belgium. Judging by the success and elegance of the spring edition, the event promises to be one with style but also with an interesting theme that we can divide into three categories:
The concept of unique work, done at leisure
The concept of *slow movement* is brought back to the attention of the public interested in things done without haste, leisurely and unique. It is about hand-made Romanian products, handicrafts such as "iile", painted porcelain or potions whose recipes are lost in the centuries of tradition of healers in Romanian villages. But we are also talking about modern products, design and business ideas that have gained European notoriety.
Romanian personalities who influenced the world
The second point of the Diplomatic Bazaar is, as in the spring edition, the tribute paid to a Romanian personality who influenced society at an international level. In the spring it was about Petrache Poenaru, the inventor of the small but invaluable pen. The Embassy of Romania now brings to the fore the exceptional story of Henri Coanda, the inventor of the jet engine used today by all aircraft in the world. An interesting detail makes the connection between the spring bazaar and the one now, between the pen and the jet engine, between Henri Coanda and Petrache Poenaru: Henri Coanda was a student at the school founded by Petrache Poenaru. But beyond presenting this personality, the event also has guests from the field: Emil DOBROVOLSCHI, pilot commander of TAROM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Daniel-Eugeniu CRUNTEANU, dean of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, and Camelia Botezatu, president of the "Emblematic Romania" Association, those who will explain or tell details of the Romanian inventor's life and creation.
Promotion of Romanian holiday traditions
And, because it is December, the Bazaar of Romanian Diplomacy will also integrate the Romanian traditions or products that we are, or were, used to in the country. And when I talk about the country, I'm talking about both Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
Where and when does it take place?
The official inauguration took place in the Marble Hall of the Free University of Brussels, Friday, December 8, at 1:00 p.m., in the presence of the ambassadors of Romania and the Republic of Moldova in the Kingdom of Belgium.
