Brasov, Timisoara and Oradea are in the top positions in the "Inspiring Cities" category of the "Destination of the Year 2024 in Romania" competition.

Brasov County is also in the top of the list in the fairytale villages section, and the county councillor Alina Szasz spoke about the area's attractions on Radio Romania Brasov FM.

"We invite you to Brasov, with its many attractions, together with Poiana Brasov. As far as tourist resorts are concerned, we are guiding you to Predeal, to Bran. If we look at ecotouristic regions, the Transylvanian Hills in the north of the county are waiting for you and have attractions including gastronomy, folk or nature. For fun-adventure, go to the "Valley of Stories" in Bran, "Dino Park" in Rasnov. For fairytale villages you will find Sambata de sus in Tara Fagarasului, Fundata. Maybe try epic accommodations, in resorts or boutique hotels, wellness areas, SPA", said Alina Szasz.

The "Destination of the Year" competition is a project to promote domestic tourism and public voting ends on 8 May.
