Book Fair "Gaudeamus", officially opened at Romexpo
Hundreds of local and foreign publishers have given their meeting with readers of "the most important book fair in Romania", organised by Radio Romania.

International Book Fair "Gaudeamus-Education" was officially opened at the Pavilion Romexpo in Bucharest.
The guest of honor of the 2013 Edition is The Nordics: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
"Although the Nordic languages are not spoken by so many people, the literature that comes from these countries to draw the attention of many readers around the world," was said in the fair opening by the Ambassador of Sweden in Romania, Anders Bengtcén.
"The Nordic countries are extremely honored to be in this year alongside Gaudeamus as guest of honor," said Honorary Chairman of this year's Edition of the fair, Sweden's Ambassador in Romania, Anders Bengtcén.
The 20th Edition of the fair means a moment of balance, also said, the Executive Director of the Fair Gaudeamus, Mr. Epstein.
Over time, "more than two million visitors have visited the Gaudeamus trade fairs," said Mr. Epstein.

Gaudeamus is the most important event in Romania, said Education Minister Remus Pricopie, present at the opening event.
He recalled that he attended the Gaudeamus "and as a pupil and as a student".
"I attended, however, and as the author who launches here the books," said Remus Pricopie.
President and CEO of Radio Romania Ovidiu Miculescu announced that Goncourt Prize Romania will be awarded Sunday at the Gaudeamus Book Fair.
He stressed that "Romania is the only medium Radio published in Europe which maintains such an event".
Hundreds of publishers and events
Gaudeamus International Book Fair starts Wednesday at Romexpo and is organized by Radio Romania.
The guest of honor of the 2013 Edition is The Nordics: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Those who visit will find fair this year along with numerous book launches in the presence of the authors, exhibitions, contests, as well as the Children's Book and national Inventica and scientific creation Salon.
Until Sunday, more than 600 events and editorial, exhibition proposed by about 400 exhibitors will take place during the fair.
In this edition as well as in other years, they may be purchased books at reduced prices.
The fair can be visited today and through Friday between 11.00 and 20.00, Saturday and Sunday between 10.00 and 20.00.
The entrance ticket costs 5 lei, and a subscription 10 lei.
Free access for preschool children , book professionals, journalists, retirees, people with disabilities and organized groups.
