Belgium to send more troops to the NATO Battle Group in Romania in 2025

Belgium will send more troops to NATO's Romanian Battle Group in Cincu next year. Belgian officials reconfirmed their strong commitment to participation in the group and said the number of Belgian troops would be increased to support brigade-level exercises. The Romanian Ministry of Defence has given assurances that Romania is making every effort to ensure the necessary logistical support, especially in view of the organization of the brigade-level exercise "Dacian Spring" next spring.

This will involve the deployment of a large number of military and technical personnel within the NATO Battle Group. The bilateral talks also touched upon the security developments in the Black Sea region and NATO's efforts to strengthen the allied defense posture in the run-up to the Hague Summit in 2025, Ministry of Defence said.
