United States President Donald Trump has announced, on July 24, his intention to nominate attorney Adrian Zuckerman for the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Romania, writes a White House statement.
Mr.Zuckerman, born in Romania, immigrated with his family to the United States at the age of 10. He speaks Romanian fluently and is a partner in a New York law firm specializing in real estate transactions.
Zuckerman has been a close friend of the Trump family for two decades and a well-known member of the New York business circles.
If nomination passes the vote of the American Congress, Adrian Zuckerman will replace current ambassador Hans Klemm.
