Attempt to resume beef exports to Russia
Specialists from the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Inspection of the Russian Federation will assess the units of production and meat processing.

According to a senior from the Ministry of Agriculture, our country is, after Germany, the second state to do so, which means that there is interest from Moscow for Romanian products.
A team of specialists from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Inspection of the Russian Federation will make assessments to units of production and meat processing, evaluation that start on Monday.
"Starting today, a team of veterinarians from Russia arrived in Romania and will visit the slaughterhouses and processing facilities from us for approval of export to the Russian market," says Ilie Van, president of the Association of Poultry Breeders in Romania.
"Now there is a sample of 12 processing factories to be assessed. It's about all kinds of meat. Others will follow.
"We do not know exactly what their strategy is, but in any case it is good to be start. We do not have any emotion, we have slaughterhouses approved by the European Commission, the European market," added Ilie Van.
Manufacturers want to enter the Russian market
Resuming the exports to Russia will mean an enormous thing, said the president of the Association of Poultry Breeders in Romania.
"We are shaped also on export, but unfortunately until now we have not entered the Russian market, which is a huge market with great potential for our industry," says Ilie Van, president of the Association of Poultry Breeders in Romania.
