Bucharest hosts the “Art of Storytelling” International Festival, until 4 November, under the logo “We Are Stories”.
“Friendship” is the theme of the Festival, given the value it represents for inter-personal relations and for the universal good.
"The Art of Storytelling, very well developed beyond the borders of Romania, refers not only to reunions where professional narrators come and tell stories, but also to individuals who tell their own stories. Each and every one of us represents a story or a multitude of stories, encountered in life. By everything we do, we continue to tell stories", says founder Adriana Ene, from GRADUSART Cultural Association.
Festival aims to bring to the attention of the public the importance and benefits of storytelling.
Famous storytellers from around the world have been invited to Bucharest for this special Festival: Jeff Gere (Hawaii), Anne Glover (Canada), Alicia DongJoo Bang (South Korea) and John Mukeni Namai (Kenya). Romania is represented by Georgiana Popan, from Arad, Leon Magdan and Adriana Ene, from Bucharest.
Storytelling Festival takes place at the Central University Library, Verona Bookstore, Excelsior Theater, Matei Basarab College and the International Computer Theoretical High School in Bucharest.
