Army Day was celebrated yesterday with great pomp both in Bucharest and in the country, and throughout the evening, the citizens of Bucharest enjoyed the already traditional torchlight procession, which went through the center of the Capital, starting at 19:00.
The event took place on the route between the National Military Circle and the headquarters of the brigade on General Paul Teodorescu Boulevard. The route also included Regina Elisabeta Boulevard, Mihail Kogalniceanu Boulevard, Eroilor Sanitari Boulevard, Cotroceni Road and Iuliu Maniu Boulevard.
The retreat started from the Tricolor Square, with brass bands supported by the Representative Music of the Ministry of National Defense, to the delight of passers-by who stopped and filmed with their mobile phones, some of them accompanying the soldiers all the way, which ended after almost a hour, at the headquarters of the 30th Guard Brigade "Mihai Viteazul".
On the route of the event, road traffic was restricted depending on the area where the military paraded between 19:00 and 22:00, and those who wanted to participate in the event were advised to follow the instructions of the policemen who accompanied the military column.
The event is a symbolic one through which the Romanian soldiers convey the message of their devotion and sacrifice for the country.
