Arges County Council president, prosecuted without arrest
The president of the Arges County Council, Constantin Nicolescu, is investigated for accepting bribe and influence peddling.

The Appellate Court decided on Wednesday night that the president of the Arges County Council, Constantin Nicolescu can be prosecuted without arrest.
The majority accepted his lawyer’s case for prosecution without arrest.
The court’s decision was welcomed by both family members, who were inside the court, and the PSD members and supporters.
The appeal was trialed on Wednesday at the Pitesti County Appellate Court, without mr Nicolescu’s, since he was hospitalized in Floreasca Hospital in Bucharest.
When he heard the decision, he got sick and was taken to Floreasca Hospital, where he received heart surgery.
Constantin Nicolescu is being investigated for bribery and influence peddling concerning the renovation and reconstruction of schools using EU funds.
The Appellate Court prosecutors decided that the defendant cannot leave the country or contact people who were involved in the case.
