ArchaeoHeritage: UNESCO International Conference in Sighișoara

Over 40 experts in the field of management of cultural sites listed in the World Monuments List from various states of the world are gathered in Sighișoara until 14 October for UNESCO International Conference, dedicated to the promotion of best practices on the management of World Heritage Sites.

Organizers of the Conference titled “Past for the Future. Future for the Past: Preservation and promotion of world heritage sites” are the Iaşi Institute of Archeology of the Romanian Academy, Sighişoara Municipality and the National Institute for Heritage.

Also as part of this international conference, the "Art-Contemporary Action" Heritage Exhibition is being held in Sighișoara, illustrating the current European trend of animating valuable patrimony sites through contemporary art interventions, says RRA correspondent Marcela German.
