Anti-governmental protests in Romania after adoption of new Criminal Code

Thousands of people went out on the streets on Wednesday in Bucharest and several cities across Romania, denouncing the adoption in Parliament of the amendments to the Criminal Code, new legislation that can facilitate high-level corruption.
Anti-government protesters called for early elections. They chanted slogans against PSD, ALDE and UDMR parties.
According to RRA press correspondents in the territory, protests took place in several cities, including Timișoara, Sibiu, Cluj, Alba Iulia, Oradea.
