Another 13 cases of infection with the new variant of coronavirus, Omicron, have been confirmed in Romania - announced the Ministry of Health.
These are people between the ages of 14 and 89, and seven of them are unvaccinated against COVID-19.
Yesterday, 566 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection have been reported, out of almost 20.000 tests.
There are now 433 patients in intensive care, seven of whom are children.
24 deaths were also reported, all from patients with other conditions; 20 of them were not vaccinated.
