Andrei Muraru will be appointed Romanian ambassador to the USA

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, confirmed that Andrei Muraru, presidential adviser, will be appointed Romanian Ambassador to the United States of America. The head of diplomacy said he was convinced that Andrei Muraru would represent Romania very well.
Bogdan Aurescu: It is a very good choice made by the president of Romania. I fully support it. I know Mr. Muraru personally as a presidential adviser, I have worked closely with him, and I am absolutely convinced that he will do an exceptional job in the United States as an ambassador.
RRA reporter Alexandra Cristea recalls that Andrei Muraru has been a presidential adviser since 2014. He has worked at the Institute for the Investigation of the Crimes of Communism and the Memory of the Romanian Exile since its establishment in 2006, holding various positions, from research expert to executive president. He is the author, co-author and coordinator of several volumes of contemporary history.
