Many educational units are still in the process of modernization, so more than 25 thousand students are forced to study in three shifts this year, although the new education law explicitly prohibits this.

The relevant minister, Ligia Deca: The law really talks about the banning of the educational process in three shifts, yes, starting from the 2025-2026 school year, so for the educational units that are in three shifts we will make every effort so that at the time in which the legal provision comes into force that we no longer have any such school.

We made repeated meetings with the inspectors to identify these schools and tried to find alternative formulas. I appeal in this way to all the town halls that, together with the inspectorates, must find a solution in these cases, to make efforts together, to stop having such situations because they affect the quality of the educational act.
