Allowance for mothers "returns to the 85 per cent of salary"
Parental allowance will return previously, at the level of 85 per cent of salary, after the law will be amended by Parliament in the autumn, said the Minister of Labour.

Minister of Labour, Mariana Câmpeanu, announced that parental allowance will return the value of 85 per cent of the salary, informs the editor of Radio Romania, Alex Olaru.
The law in force should be amended by the Parliament in the autumn of this year, said the Minister Mariana Campeanu.
“The allowance for mothers, this entered into the agreement that I made it when I said that we reintegrate the amounts that were cut in 2010.”
“It had not been made yet because it was an unfavorable conjuncture for moms: it was approved the split through a legal instrument and we can change only in this autumn, when the parliamentary session begins, "the Minister said.
Mariana Câmpreanu warned that the roof will stay at 3,400 lei but it will increase the number of mothers who will get increases income from this allowance.
As regards the income ceilings, they remain at current levels: minimal ceiling of 600 lei, 1,200 lei in the case of mothers who choose for a two-year maternal leave and 3,400 leave for one year.
According to the law, a return to the original can be made two years after the fall of 15 per cent.
The decision to reduce parental allowance with 15% was taken in 2010, on a temporary basis up to relaunch the economy.
According to the information submitted by the Ministry of Labour, it is also envisaged a modifying provisions relating to conditioning maintenance of social security rights, including parental allowance, by the payment of local taxes and levies.
All funds necessary for monthly payment parental allowance will be provided by the State budget from the special funds allocated to the Ministry of Labour, informs Mediafax.
