Agreement between Romania and the USA regarding the periods worked in both countries for pension

RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - Romania and the United States of America concluded a Social Security Agreement and the Administrative Arrangement for its application, by signing the two documents by the Minister of Labor, Marius Budai, and the United States Ambassador to Bucharest, Kathleen Kavalec, in the framework of a ceremony held Yesterday at the Victoria Palace. The agreement offers the possibility of totaling the periods worked both in Romania and in the United States of America when calculating pension rights.
Marius Budai: "The signing of the Social Security Agreement between Romania and the United States of America represents the crowning of steps taken by both administrations for the benefit of citizens and for better protection of their social security rights. We have a large community of Romanian origin in the United States of America America, people who live and work there, who actively contribute to the development of the ties between our countries and who will be happy to be able to benefit from the provisions of such a social security agreement."
For her part, the United States ambassador, Kathleen Kavalec, explained that the agreement protects the benefits of people who have shared their professional lives and careers between the two states, RRA editor Petruta Obrejan reports.
