Foyer of Radio Romania Headquarters in Bucharest hosts, until 5 November, a photo exhibition titled "Afghanistan. Faces of the war", belonging to journalist Ilie Pintea, Radio Romania War Correspondent, who has often accompanied, since 2013, Romanian military troops deployed in Afghanistan.
Exhibition is made up of 40 large panels with pictures printed by a special technique.
Ilie Pintea:Radio Romania has always been present there where history was written and has provided Romanian citizens the information they needed. These photos are about the people. This is why the exhibition is called "Faces of War". People are the ones who are affected by this conflict and the war can have as many faces as you can see in the photos on display. It is primarily about Afghan children, but also about our soldiers in their daily missions and in their spare time, about some Afghans who are gazing towards the future with sadness or others who hope for the better. You are all invited.
Ilie Pintea has been an RRA regional correspondent since 2000, and, starting with 2013, he has accompanied several Romanian battalions deployed to Afghanistan.
