Adina Florea is the proposal of the Romanian Justice Minister, Tudorel Toader, to serve as Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA).

Adina Florea is the proposal of the Romanian Justice Minister, Tudorel Toader, to serve as Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), following dismissal of Laura Codruța Kovesi.
Kovesi was dismissed from office through a decree issued on 9 July by President Klaus Iohannis, who enforced a decision of the Romanian Constitutional Court. Dismissal was requested by the Minister of Justice Tudorel Toader.
Selection procedure for nominating a new DNA Chief took place during 6 August and 4 September 2018, at the headquarters of the Justice Ministry, according to Agerpres.
Prosecutor Adina Florea is currently attached to the Constanța Court of Appeal.
According to the Ministry of Justice, this proposal will be forwarded to the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) in view of a consultative opinion and, subsequently, to President Klaus Iohannis for the appointment in office.
