Actress Ileana Stana-Ionescu died at the age of 87

The National Theater of Bucharest announced the death of actress Ileana Stana-Ionescu. "A personality of exceptional talent and high moral stature, full of verve and spontaneity" - this is how her colleagues at TNB describe Ileana Stana-Ionescu, born on September 14, 1936, in Brad, Hunedoara County.
Ileana Stana-Ionescu began her artistic career at the age of 19 at the Resita Theater.
On the big screen, after her debut in 1964, Ileana Stana-Ionescu starred in movies such as "Pacala", "Dumbrava minunata", "Alo, aterizeaza strabunica!" and "Secretul lui Bachus”.
In the 2000-2004 legislature she was elected Member of Parliament on behalf of the Italian Community in Romania.
