Foreign Ministry recommends that Romanian citizens who spend abroad their Easter holidays to avoid engaging in street demonstrations or manifestations.

The ministry also recommends tourists to inform about their presence on the territory of a foreign country at the diplomatic mission or consular office of Romania.

Foreign Ministry warned that Israel, one of the favorite destinations of Romanians for the Easter holidays, on or around April 15 is expected organizing a protest event that intends to participate in pro-Palestinian militants.

Moreover, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) underlines the possibility that waiting time for passengers screening to be much higher on Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv.

As regards Greece, the Bucharest diplomacy recommends avoiding areas where protests are announced.

MAE advises Romanians who are away during holidays abroad to consult specific customs regulations for each state and to obtain early European Health Card.

MAE also recommends Romanian citizens to consult regularly "Travel Tips" and "Travel Guides" on the official internet site, www.mae.ro to get updated information on conditions and travel alerts on the destination country.
