A1 Sibiu-Pitesti Highway

The works for the construction of the section Pitesti - Curtea de Arges of the A1 Sibiu - Pitesti Highway would start in May, announced Horatiu Cosma, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, responsible for road infrastructure.
Lot 5 of the Highway between Pitesti and Curtea de Arges has a length of 30 kilometers. The entrepreneur is a strong builder from Italy and the execution term is 4 years.
Also, lot 5 Sibiu - Boita, with a length of 13 km. The only section of the A1 Highway that is being worked on has reached a physical stage of 35% and will be open to traffic by the end of next year.
The contract for Lot 4 Curtea de Arges - Tigveni cannot be signed because a new appeal has been filed and for lots 2 and 3, the most difficult because they are in the mountain area, the companies that qualify for the next stage will be announced.
