A record number of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Romania

A record of deaths and patients in Intensive Care Units was registered, today, in Romania, in the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic.
Authorities said 177 people lost their lives due to complications caused by COVID-19. Of these, 17 had no other conditions.
1.093 patients are hospitalized in serious condition, a new record compared to yesterday.
7.304 new cases of coronavirus were also reported, out of more than 31.000 tests performed in the last 24 hours.
Most infections were again registered in Bucharest, 845. The capital is followed by the counties of Cluj with 423 and Constanta with 361.
Regarding the infection rate, cumulated at 14 days, the highest continues to be in Sibiu County, 6.89, followed by Cluj, 6.56 and Salaj with 6.47.
In Bucharest, this indicator reached 5.11 cases per thousand inhabitants, RRA reports, quoted by Rador.
