Around 4.000 soldiers, with over 900 technical means, from 10 allied countries will take part next month in a new multinational exercise on Romanian territory. "Dacian Spring 2025" will take place from May 5-23, simultaneously in the training ranges of Smardan, Cincu, Bogata, Capu Midia and Frecatei.

The main objective is to practice a collective defense operation and to strengthen the integration of the participating forces into the command and control architecture of the Multinational Division Southeast Command. The first troops were scheduled to enter the country yesterday, via Nadlac, and for the smooth running of the exercise, the national authorities, together with NATO allies, are taking all necessary measures to minimize the impact on local communities and road traffic, so that movements are mostly at night.

NATO exercises, such as the one next month, are defensive, transparent and are conducted in full compliance with Romania's international obligations - underlines the Ministry of National Defense.
