6.752 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID - 19)

Following the tests performed at national level, since the last report, 6.752 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 927 people were reconfirmed "positive".

Between 07.11.2020 (10:00) - 08.11.2020 (10:00) 86 deaths of patients infected with the new coronavirus (40 men and 46 women) were reported, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacau , Bihor, Bistrita-Nasaud, Botosani, Braila, Calarasi, Caras-Severin, Constanta, Dambovita, Dolj, Galati, Giurgiu, Harghita, Iasi, Mehedinti, Mures, Neamt, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Timis, Tulcea , Ilfov and Bucharest.

Out of these, 4 deaths were recorded in the age category 30-39 years old, 3 deaths in the age category 40-49, 5 deaths in the age category 50-59, 25 deaths in the age category 60- 69, 32 deaths in the age category 70-79 and 17 deaths in the over 80 years old category.

83 of the recorded deaths were of patients who presented comorbidities, and 3 deceased patients did not have other diseases.

In Health Units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12.295. Of these, 1.056 are currently in ICU's.
