Dacia 1100 was commercialized during 1968-1971, until the model 1300 started to be manufactured.
The French campaign provided all the component parts of the model, and these were assembled at Mioveni factory.
The first Romanian car was given as present to the president of the country that time, Nicolae Ceausescu.
At that time, most of the employees from the industrial platform were in holiday and at the factory, in some sections, are held renovations and inspections.
“We celebrate 45 years since cars from Mioveni factories are running the world’s highways.”
“This history marked by more turning points, as well as success, is the result of one of the longest and solid cooperation between two automakers”, stated Dacia representatives.
