3 armed Ukrainian citizens allegedly entered Romania

The police in Satu Mare is on alert and has organized filters on the roads in the county after three Ukrainian citizens allegedly entered the territory of Romania armed. RRA correspondent Sergiu Podina reports that the three men attacked a Ukrainian Border Police patrol, disarmed the Ukrainian Border Police, taking both their combat weapons and ammunition, and crossed the border into Romania.
Sighetu Marmatiei Border Police spokeswoman Iulia Stan clarifies: "The Ukrainian side informed us that they detained a Ukrainian citizen who was part of the group of three that they initially informed us had crossed into Romania. A short while ago, an IGAv helicopter joined the search mission. It took off from the town of Tarna Mare with a border guard on board and started the aerial surveillance mission."
According to the most recent information, the police officers from Satmareni have meanwhile found an abandoned weapon.
