2 weeks holiday for students, and masks will be mandatory outside

Starting Monday, pre-university students in Romania will have two weeks of vacation, access to most activities will be conditioned by the green COVID certificate, wearing a mask will be mandatory everywhere, indoors or outdoors, and traffic at night will be banned for unvaccinated people. These are just some of the restrictive measures that will be applied in Romania in an attempt to stop the coronavirus pandemic.

After discussing the epidemiological situation with several government officials, President Klaus Iohannis said the only solution to stopping the pandemic is vaccination. However, restrictions are needed until an appropriate vaccination rate is reached.
