Ahead of the celebration of the Romanian Naval Forces Day, on August 15, a series of unprecedented events were organized on the Romanian seaside.
The Week of Marine Spirituality was one of the events, during which an Open Door Day was held in the Constanţa Military Harbor.
Radio România Actualităţi (RRA) Reporter, Mona Constantinescu: The event was organized by the Romanian Naval Forces and all the people who arrived in the harbor could admire the frigates, the Puma Naval helicopter, the Dolphin submarine, the corvettes, the missile-carrying ships, minesweepers and other military ships and their crews.
Visitors could also admire exhibitions of military technology and equipment. The Naval and Maritime colleges presented their educational offer and the benefits of choosing a military marine career.
Similar activities took place in Mangalia Harbor where the public visited the ships, attended marine node workshops and saw the naval military technique exhibition.
The Tulcea Military Port also had an Open Door Day for visitors, who could admire an exhibition of military techniques and armaments, river and naval vessels and military intervention gears.RRA Reporter Irinel Călin:Military ships, armored patrol boats, Siret protocol ship, or military equipment were reviewed by military unit guests.
Galaţi Harbor hosted a series of military ceremonies attended by lots of locals and tourists during the Open Door Day organized by the “Mihail Kogălniceanu” River Fleet Brăila.
RRA Reporter Maria Măndiţa talked to Cornel Rogozan, River Fleet Commander: We are present with three military vessels of various types (patrol monitors, armored and minesweeping vessels) , we have a series of interactive workshops, navy nodes, an exhibition of specific tele-communication technical equipment. Here we have binoculars, a thermal imaging room, a transmitter station, two headphones equipped with night visions, and scout's weapon.
